When sailing the Caribbean with Virgin Voyages, you are almost guaranteed a stop at The Beach Club at Bimini in the Bahamas. Almost every Virgin Voyages itinerary includes this stop because The Beach Club at Bimini is an exclusive included experience with the cruise line. In this post, we’re sharing all about our day at The Beach Club at Bimini during the Valiant Lady’s 2025 Celebration Voyage.
So, What Exactly is The Beach Club at Bimini?
Located on the island of North Bimini, Bahamas, The Beach Club at Bimini is actually part of Resorts World Bimini, an expansive resort with a hotel, spa, casino, and access to beautiful beaches. The Beach Club at Bimini is a section of Resorts World known as Resorts World Bimini Beach, but when Virgin Voyages docks in Bimini, they have exclusive rights to Resorts World Bimini Beach and call it The Beach Club at Bimini. During use by Virgin Voyages, Resorts World guests are not permitted access. Resorts World also partners with other cruise lines to provide paid excursions to Resorts World Bimini Beach. However, with Virgin Voyages, the experience is part of your vacation, and you will enjoy access to complimentary food and a bar where you can purchase drinks.
What to Take & How to Get There

We arrived at the dock in Bimini around 7:30 a.m. If you are an early riser and enjoy watching the ship approach port, you can sit outside on deck 16 and watch as you cruise into port. The Virgin Voyages app noted that our timeframe in Bimini was 8 a.m.- 6 p.m., but the gangway wasn’t available for disembarkation until about 8:30 a.m.
When packing for your day in Bimini, remember to bring the two beach towels in your cabin. There were some towels available at The Beach Club, but they ran out since the intention is for you to bring the provided beach towels from your cabin. Also, pack your sunscreen and consider bringing bottled water. Water dispensers were available at The Beach Club, but the cups for water were small, 6-8 oz.
Once you depart the ship, you will walk a pretty short distance to the tram pick-up area. A complimentary tram operated by Resorts World will take you to The Beach Club at Bimini, which is approximately a 5-minute ride with two stops before arrival. Some passengers tip the tram drivers, so bring cash if you would like to leave a tip. We took the first tram of the day, so we did not have to wait in line for a ride.
The Beach, Pools & Amenities

We arrived around 9 a.m., and The Beach Club was vacant, allowing us any choice of lounger, day bed, or clamshell lounger we liked. After entering The Beach Club through the open-air building, you will be in the middle of two pools. The pool to the left is smaller, with a bar accessible from the pool. It is not a swim-up bar, but you can stand on a ledge that is in the pool and order at the bar. Although music carries throughout the entire area when music begins around 10 a.m., this pool is a little quieter because the DJ booth is at the opposite end of the larger pool, located to the right when you are standing at the entrance. The larger pool’s bar is not as close to the pool, but it is still only a few steps away. If you are in a Rockstar cabin, the designated Rockstar area is located to the far left of the smaller pool.
We walked past the pool and down the walkway to the beach. The beach included hundreds of chairs along with a few daybeds and clamshell loungers. We opted for two front row beach chairs with an umbrella and table. Umbrellas and tables at the beach were limited, and unfortunately, many of the beach chairs were very worn. The pool loungers, however, were in pretty good shape and looked more comfortable. By 11:30 a.m., the beach chairs and pool loungers were almost full, so if you want your pick, arrive early! The music from the DJ booth was still able to be heard at the beach, but it wasn’t as loud as it was at the pool, and we were able to read and nap. Music started around 10 a.m. with popular hits that made for great upbeat background music, but the music got a bit louder during the pool party around 1 p.m.
The beach had soft sand with very little debris, and the water was crystal clear. Though the water was a bit chilly at first, we adjusted quickly and appreciated the refreshing coolness as the day grew warmer. The calm, beautiful water made for a relaxing experience, and we even spotted a few fish swimming just a couple of feet away from us.
Another amenity worth mentioning is the restroom and changing area. Near The Beach Club entrance, you’ll find separate men’s and women’s restrooms, along with changing tents and lockers. Additionally, showers are conveniently located between the beach walkways and the pool area, so you can rinse off any sand before heading to the pool.
Food & Beverages at The Beach Club at Bimini

The Beach Club at Bimini offered two main bars, one connected to the smaller pool and one a few steps away from the larger pool. These bars served beer, wine, and select cocktails. The pricing was on par with the pricing on the ship, and the bar tab and sailor loot are both accepted at The Beach Club. In addition to two main bars, there was a small beverage hut by one of the beach walkways that served a limited menu of beer and wine and had a self-service water dispenser. Additionally, there was another bar in partnership with Belvedere Vodka that served, you guessed it, vodka cocktails. All bars opened at 10 a.m.
Lunch was served starting at 11:30 a.m. There were two food counters, one to the far right and one to the far left. The service was quick and efficient. Each food selection was on its own dish, so the staff member taking your order could quickly add a dish of each of your selections to a tray that you could carry to the pool or beach. The food was fresh and delicious.
Activities at The Beach Club at Bimini

While lounging on the beach, we had a front-row seat to beach games hosted by the happenings cast (Virgin’s entertainment team). Many people played games that reminded us of school field days. One game was a relay race with a hula hoop toss at the end. In addition to these group games, you could also organize your own game of corn hole, giant chess and bocce ball near the pool area. Destinee chose to participate in beach yoga, which was held at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The class was beginner-friendly and flowed at a slow pace. Another activity worth noting was the pool party.
Around 1 p.m., the Happenings Cast tossed floats into the pool and cranked up the music for a lively celebration. During our cruise, we were surprised by a special appearance from Virgin’s founder, Richard Branson, who sprayed champagne and jumped into the pool. While the energy was high and the crowd was loving it, we weren’t in the mood for a full-on party and headed back to the ship around 1:30 p.m.
Returning to the Ship
The tram service will take you back to the ship, and you board the tram in the same area as you arrived on the tram. We waited less than 10 minutes to be picked up, and the ride took about 10 minutes to get back to the ship because people got off at other stops such as the Resorts World Casino and Fisherman’s Village. Once back on the ship, we enjoyed the quiet time while others were partying in Bimini. Alex rested in the cabin, and Destinee spent time at the spa.
Overall, in our opinion, The Beach Club at Bimini is a great offering by Virgin Voyages, and we enjoyed our included beach day in the Bahamas!
